About David Combes…

Over his diverse career David’s versatility as a singer has allowed him to build an enviable reputation on the London session circuit singing with, amongst others, Beyoncé, Westlife, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Lionel Richie, and Kylie. He has contributed to many film scores, albums and concerts as well as touring internationally as a member of the Steve Sidwell SFX Choir.

David can also be heard on numerous commercials and prime time TV shows including several series of ‘The X Factor’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. In recent years he has been part of the backing vocal team for Robbie Williams’ No.1 album ‘Swings Both Ways’, Alfie Boe and Michael Ball’s chart topping album ‘Together’ and Bring Me The Horizon’s album ‘Sempiternal’ as well as providing additional vocals for the epic Ellie Goulding video ‘Worry About Me’. David regularly performs with Capital Voices, appearances include Spice Fusion’s album ‘Trying Hard 2‘ and the 2018 BBC Radio 2 concert celebrating the work of Jason Robert Brown.

David  is a voice tutor at Bath Spa University and the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. He is a freelance vocal coach, leading corporate events for Abbey Road Studios, and has been part of the vocal coaching team for the audition tour on both the BBC and ITV’s productions of ‘The Voice’ and for Sky TV’s ‘Sing:Ultimate A Cappella’. David is a busy singing tutor and vocal coach working with voice users from a number of industries, from developing artists to Academy Award winning actors.
